Use a tape measure or digital caliper to record the width and height of your current filter or the filter bay opening to the nearest 1⁄16″. Enter all dimensions as decimal values rather than fractions. Depth is the face-to-face thickness of the filter; common depths are 3⁄8″ (0.375″), 1⁄2″ (0.50″), and 3⁄4″ (0.75″). What depth options are available?
Standard depths are 3⁄8″ (0.375″), 1⁄2″ (0.50″), and 3⁄4″ (0.75″). If your range hood requires a non-standard depth, note this in the order comments or contact us before ordering so we can confirm availability.
How long will a custom aluminum grease filter last?
Aluminum mesh grease filters are washable and reusable. Clean monthly in the dishwasher (top rack) or by hand with hot water and a degreaser solution. A well-maintained aluminum mesh filter can last several years before the mesh itself is physically damaged or too permanently loaded with residue to clean effectively. The recommended service interval is monthly cleaning and replacement when the mesh is visibly damaged or cannot be cleaned to a near-original appearance.
