How to Find the Right Miami-Care Range Hood Filter

1. Locate your range hood model number. Open the range hood canopy and look for a white label on the inside top surface or side wall of the filter compartment. The model number is printed there.
2. Find the OEM filter part number. Look up your range hood model in the Miami-Care owner’s manual or parts diagram to identify the OEM filter part number.

Activated Carbon Odor Filters — Disposable

Carbon odor filters are required in ductless (recirculating) range hoods where filtered air is returned to the kitchen rather than exhausted outdoors. Activated carbon adsorbs cooking odors, smoke compounds, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that aluminum mesh cannot capture. Carbon filters must be replaced—not washed—every 3–6 months or when odors persist.

Carbon odor filters: Replace every 3–6 months under normal residential cooking conditions. Replace sooner if cooking odors are detectable in the kitchen while the range hood runs at full speed—odor breakthrough is the most reliable indicator that the carbon is saturated.
